open air planetarium

Recently was in a place surrounded by hills with negligible light pollution and looked up at the night sky. It was really cold… but did not matter… the view was beyond a planetarium… of the truly spectacular view.

After a while tried a few 10 sec exposure pictures with the mobile camera. Then closed the mobile and just spent quite some time being there with those lights from the distance.

(Later downstairs when I saw the pics, they at first seemed to be shaken… but then all pics were shaken inexactly the same direction… so maybe the movement of the Earth 🤔 There are some several nice apps like Stellarium to identify names for those lights and patterns, some stars and some planets, etc. )
