shivagange and siddarabetta hills

These tall flowers were really pretty….

The homely local people there were quite liberal in providing us some stalks to grow at home.

The same hillock on the way back, looks quite different in bright light.

We were at another hill nearby and thought of climbing it.

In the hot sun the tunnel of trees provided some welcome shade.

There were a lot of butterflies of many different varieties along the way. Sanjay had a bit of a David Attenborough moment when this one settled down on his hand.

There were people of diff ages, even really aged people climbing/descending… in this pic the youth was effortlessly carrying the kid and climbing. It seemed to be some special religious day with many people, and ‘both Hindus and Muslims climbing up together on the narrow path.

Its said many saints have meditated at this hill. Felt grateful that they were bringing people together.

There was a cave with some underground water source at the summit.
